We spent Sunday in Medina, Ohio before heading over to Panther for orientation. We went to the Olive Garden for our anniversary. We got all dressed up, climbed into the truck, and drove down to find a parking place. I was wearing a dress, so I had to be careful getting down from the truck (new experiences every day :0)
We've spent the past two days in orientation at the Panther headquarters in Seville, Ohio (near Akron) and it has been information overload. I think we're catching on, but there are so many rules, regulations, and procedures to learn that it can feel a bit overwhelming at times. Today we went through all of the procedures for crossing the border into and out of Canada. Panther has a lot of runs into Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec, so we may get a chance to travel up north at times. They even have runs into Alaska, so that would be cool (in more ways that one in some months :) Anyway, we'll finish up orientation tomorrow and wait for our first load. It's sort of neat not knowing where we may get paid to go tomorrow. Just pray that we'll remember all of the t's to cross and i's to dot!
We are in the middle of Amish country up here in northern Ohio, so I'm adding a picture Jim took of a horse drawn buggy going down the highway.
I'm also adding pictures of Jason and Tamara and Josh and Heather. I hope to get pictures from Jonathan and Ashley and Doug and Bethany to add, too. And maybe I can get Josh to send me a picture of our puppies as well . . . miss them, too. Sorry, guys, but it helps me to see your pictures every day when I log on.
Until later . . . Jim and Sandy
