They had us out on the road, including freeways in rush-hour traffic on the second day of in-truck training. Keep in mind that Indianapolis is the 12th largest city in the US, with three quarters of a million people, and also that we came here from Alpine, Texas (population 6000), where you can throw a rock from one end of town and hit the other. Anyway, it's been an adventure, and we're picking it up pretty quick. We'll take the driving portion of the CDL tomorrow, so say a prayer for us if you read this before then . . . or just say a prayer for us anyway. . . you can never have too many prayers. :0)
We spent Sunday at the Indianapolis Zoo, so I'm uploading a few pictures from the dolphin show and other animals. It's a really nice zoo and also has the White River Gardens next door. It's a conservatory that feels like one of those giant English gardens, but it's enclosed like a greenhouse, and there are thousands of butterflies in there with you fluttering around the flowers, trees and plants. It was soooo pretty.
We ate at Logans, then went to see the new Harry Potter movie last night. I get homesick everytime I see a Texas Roadhouse with a Texas flag flying outside, and there are several here in Indy.
Anyway, even though we're not race fans, we are planning to buy several tickets to the Indy 500 for next May in hopes that some of our family and friends may want to take a few days and come see the race. We've been to the Motor Speedway Museum and seen the track, and it's really impressive. Anyway, the more the merrier, so let us know if you want to make plans to come.
lol . . . miss you all . . . Jim says Hi :)

Well I'm writing this again, Loved your pictures and am glad that you are both doing great. Sounds like an exciting time. What did your instructor mean by 'not ususal'? I know your both over educated for the job right?? I'd like to know how it feels to drive a big rig or at least ride in one some day. I hope you stay excited about what you're doing, send us regular updates and pictures.
